'06 Female Wolf / Lamar Canyon Pack

'06 Female Wolf / Lamar Canyon Pack

Shot Dec.06, 2012

This female gray wolf originally from the Agate Creek pack, was the alpha female of the Lamar Canyon pack. She had earned a reputation as one of the most skilled hunters of any wolf in Yellowstone. She was capable of taking down a full grown elk on her own.

In the spring of 2010 she gave birth to her first four pups. In 2011 she birthed another 5. In the spring of 2012 she had her final litter.

She had filled the celebrity gap that Druid / Blacktail 302M left behind. She was the most popular wolf in the world at the time she was shot.

Even though she was born to the Agate Creek pack, she was a direct decendant of the famous Druid alphas 21 & 42. They were her grandparents.

For wolfwatchers around the globe, she was the reigning Queen of The Wolfwatching World. She will be missed by many.
